Chandigarh : The 19th edition of North India’s largest PharmaTech Expo 2025 and LabTech Expo 2025 kicked off yesterday at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. Organised by Pharmatechnologyindex.com Pvt Ltd and supported by Himachal Drug Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the three-day premier industry event will bring together over 300 leading exhibitors from the pharma industries from across the globe to showcase the country’s state-of-the-art pharmaceutical products and machinery, laboratory technologies, packaging equipment and processing solutions from March 10-12.
The expo was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Harsh Vardhan Chauhan, Industry Minister, Himachal Pradesh. Several industrialists, officials and industry professionals from the pharma sector were also present on the occasion. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Hon’ble Minister informed about the initiatives taken by the State Government of Himachal Pradesh to promote industrial development such as Single Window Clearance System etc. He emphasized that such arrangements have promoted an investor-friendly environment, helping business ideas to flourish and turn them into reality.
Harsh Vardhan Chauhan further added, “In an era where the pharma and pharma machinery industry is growing at an unprecedented pace, platforms such as Pharmatech Expo are of immense importance. Platforms such as Pharmatech Expo enhance knowledge exchange, showcase innovation and ensure that Indian industry stakeholders continue to maintain a competitive edge on the global platform.
Sharing more details about the Expo, Ramesh Shah, Chairman, Pharmatech Expo said, “This year marks the seventh edition of the event in Chandigarh. This year witnessed a growth of 140% in the exhibition area and a growth of 60% in the number of participating companies. With an exhibition area of over 15000 sq. mtrs, the three day event is expected to be attended by over 6000 attendees. Pharmatech Expo 2025 will be the largest and most influential edition to date.
The states of Northern India: Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir are recognized as important for the pharmaceutical sector in the country as these states not only contribute significantly to the raw material and formulation output of the country but also provide growth in the production of inputs like processing machinery, equipment manufacturing and scientific equipment.
A series of high level seminars and discussions will also be organized during the Expo. On the opening day, a panel discussion on “Revised Schedule M – Gap Analysis” was organized in collaboration with CDSCO, State FDCA and HDMA. On the second day, on 11th April, a seminar titled “Parity – Balancing Act: Quality, Energy and Innovation in Pharma” will be organized by ISHRAE and ASHRAE, followed by another seminar on “China Plus One (C+1): Prospects and Challenges in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Sector” curated by the partner organizations.
