Chandigarh (March 19th) : Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Sector 42 (an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India) resonated with the delightful sounds of happiness and joy as the celebration of 35th Annual Day began, highlighting the theme “पंचतत्व– Five elements of the Absolute Truth”.
Arvind Varma, Principal AIHM presented the Institute’s Annual Report, highlighting its achievements and successes throughout the academic session 2024-2025. The students were honoured and awarded for their exceptional achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, and beyond. The spectators witnessed admirable Cultural Performances showcased by the students. The performance by AIHM’s Raag Band, indulging the guests and the students in a blend of classical melodies and timeless Bollywood hits, leaving the audience spellbound.
The release of 27th edition of the Institute’s Annual Magazine, “Gourmet’s Affair” in the presence of the Honorable Chief Guest Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, Guest of Honor Pradhuman Singh, HCS, Director Tourism, Chandigarh Administration, the Principal Arvind Varma, and the Editorial Team brought a wave of happiness among the audience.
As applause filled the institute’s auditorium, the most awaited moment of the evening the award ceremony commenced. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor ceremoniously bestowed prestigious titles.

Arvind Varma, Principal AIHM emphasized the institute’s esteemed reputation among IHMs affiliated with NCHMCT and other hospitality institutions. He attributed this recognition to the remarkable achievements of the institute’s alumni in the industry, the outstanding performance of its current students, and the unwavering dedication of its faculty. “Institutes are not built merely with bricks and mortar; they are shaped by the people associated with them”, he remarked, acknowledging the collective efforts that have contributed to AIHM Chandigarh’s success. He also thanked all the clubs i.e. the Organizing Club, Kitchen Club and F&B Club as they played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s smooth and efficient execution.
The evening concluded with a formal Hi-Tea organized by the students of Kitchen and F&B Clubs and heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor and all other dignitaries for their presence, as well as to the students and faculty for making the day truly memorable.
