Mohali/ Rotary Utsav organised by Rotary, Mohali provides platform to talented people

Dappar (Mohali) : Rotary Utsav 2025 organised by Rotary Club, Sector 70 Mohali kicked off with an exciting Talent Hunt competition at Diplast Treehouse Farm, Dappad, Mohali district of Chandigarh Capital Region. During this, the contestants who excelled in their respective fields displayed their skills in singing, dancing, mimicry, poetry and other fields. It was a great opportunity for the participants to showcase their talent and get noticed by experts from the entertainment industry.
Special guests present at the event included Jaiveer Juneja, the new sensation of Disney+ Hotstar’s series ‘Power of Paanch’ and Paramjit Singh, a producer from Mumbai. The ‘Judges Panel’ comprised Daljit Singh Munak, a renowned filmmaker who has produced films in Pollywood, Bollywood and even Hollywood and Arshpreet Ahluwalia, renowned Bollywood fashion designer were also present on the panel. The winners were given exciting cash prizes.
Jaiveer Juneja, who plays Ranveer Deol in the web series ‘Power of Five’ on Disney+ Hotstar, interacted with the media along with other celebrity guests. Jaiveer Juneja, who is also appearing in a lead role in a film, said, “Such great platforms play a vital role in identifying talent for the entertainment industry of India as well as North India – mainly Punjabi films. Punjabi films have come a long way and have created a special and distinct place for themselves.”
Paramjit Singh, a well-known personality in the Mumbai film industry, said, “The platform given to talented artistes helped them gain confidence and add to their portfolio.”
Daljit Singh Munak who has produced international films like ‘The Last King of India’ and ‘Anatomy of the Warrior’, lauded Rotary for the talent search initiative. He said, “Events like these give creatives and new talent a chance to grow.”
Fashion designer Arshpreet Ahluwalia, who has designed for celebrities like Lakhwinder Wadali, Jassie Gill, Vamika Gabbi, Shamita Shetty, Aparshakti Khurana, Amy Virk, Ranjit Bawa and many more, said that the event is the need of the hour and the entertainment industry offers a lot of new job opportunities and one should keep in mind that costume designing is one of the most important aspects of films.
Apart from these major events, a major highlight of the event will be a vibrant shopping carnival, which will offer a diverse range of unique items ranging from handicrafts and jewellery to homemade pickles. An art exhibition and photography exhibition were also organised at the event. For families, a lot of children’s activities have also been organised, and for those interested in learning, there will be entrepreneurship workshops.
